Projects in CZ
The aim of our projects in the Czech Republic is to contribute to an improved information level about African countries and cultures in the Czech society and to develop mutual tolerance and understanding between the Czech and African people.
A crucial step on our route to reaching this goal was taken in 2005 when the African Information Centre (AIC) was established. AIC has become the only institution collecting publications and information materials about the history and culture of African nations, the contemporary economic and political development of African countries and many other fields of study.
Apart from library services, the AIC also offers an opportunity for various meetings, for instance within the film or book clubs, discussions with invited guests and programs for children. It is, moreover, a place of education where courses of African languages and lectures take place.
Annually, our association organizes educational and cultural events in collaboration with other partners and institutions.
